The challenge was to create an aviation training center that is supposed to become not only the place where the pilots would master their skills but also a room for communication, networking, training, and reсreation. The solution was found by interconnecting the zones of practical training, theoretical space and gyms with each other through a recreational space with a multitude-store atrium and covering the volume by a parametric shell. The inspiration was the dynamics of the rotor blade movement generating airflow that makes the helicopter lift. The envelope of the building from the parametric shell symbolizes this airflow. Being self-supporting construction the parametric shell is made of translucent structures and interconnected with the building structures. The plane of the facades is made of translucent structures, which allows visitors to fully experience the beauty of the surrounding nature while inside the building.
